Tommy Fleetwood is high on the list of players seeking their first major win. The long-locked Englishman

Fleetwood has made the cut in his last six majors and has placed top-20 in all three in 2018. He shot 63 to nearly steal the U.S. Open (second) and was near the lead through two rounds after a tournament-best Friday 65 at the Open Championship (T12).

He notched his third straight top-15 finish last week with a T14 at Firestone. The tournament featured opening rounds of 66 and 63 to share the 36-hole lead.

It’s crazy how many low rounds Fleetwood has this year. The 27-year-old is eighth on Tour in birdie average.

He’s also ninth in strokes gained off the tee and is a positive in all the main strokes gained categories. A good amount of bunkers flank this course and Fleetwood is 23rd in sand saves.

Fleetwood won earlier this year at the European Tour’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. He has six top-10s worldwide and 13 top-25s. He’s missed only two cuts.

This will be Fleetwood’s second PGA Championship. His aerial attack seems perfect to attack a scoreable venue like Bellerive.
