PGA Championship: DraftKings fantasy golf top value picks at Bellerive
Tony Finau is more than just one of my top value picks this week at Bellerive. He’s one of my top picks to bring home the Wanamaker Trophy for his first major championship in St. Louis. The fact that you can get him for just $8,100 on DraftKings is highway robbery, and maybe a bit disrespectful to his talent, but that’s all for your benefit right now.
Finau is coming off of top ten finishes in three of his last five starts, and just closed the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational with a solid Sunday round of 68. Not enough of a heater for you? Here’s the list of players to finish inside the top ten at all three majors so far this year: Tony Finau. That’s it. Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed have all done it twice, but Finau is the one whose game has stayed consistently strong from Augusta to Shinnecock and then Carnoustie.
Finau is ranked 10th this season in the FedEx Cup points race, the highest player without a win by a significant margin. Eight top ten finishes in 23 season starts will go a long way toward helping that cause, as have his two runner-up finishes at Safeway and Genesis.
Statistically, Finau has all the makings of a strong contender for this week’s PGA Championship. He’s a bomber, ranked third in average driving distance. He’s also great when it gets close, currently 24th on the PGA TOUR in greens in regulation and 13th in adjusted scoring average.
The former competitor on Golf Channel’s “Big Break” series may get his biggest break yet at Bellerive. Don’t miss this golden opportunity to ride Tony Finau to glory this week.
