I know it’s sometimes hard to see in the rotation of Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas, but what kind of a year is Jason Day putting together right now? After going winless in 2017, Day has turned his inner closer back on, with a pair of victories already on the record. And to have the resurgent superstar priced at just $9,000 on DraftKings this week? This is almost too easy, but you absolutely can’t pass up on Day this week.

Day is the first of two players I like in the $9,000-plus range, and he’s really got things working on both ends of his game right now. Day is still a bomber, averaging over 310 yards off the tee (ranked 14th on TOUR), which will make him a force to be reckoned with on a damp, soft Bellerive track.

More importantly, though, Day is absolutely killing the business on the greens this year. The Aussie has always been a strong putter, but he leads the PGA TOUR in strokes gained putting, with a fairly significant cushion over Phil Mickelson in second place.

As soft as Bellerive’s fairways have been with the rains in St. Louis this week, the ample putting surfaces have been slowing nearly as much. That will only serve to help Day maintain that confidence in the season’s final major.

Day has strung together three straight top-20 finishes heading into the PGA Championship, and there’s little reason to expect him to slow down now. Day is a five-figure talent with a four-figure price. Play him with confidence here.
