Martin Kaymer is showing some signs of life this summer. He posted a T8 in June at the Italian Open and a T2 at the BMW International Open in July.

Last week, the German posted three rounds of par or better to finish T42 at the PGA Championship.

Kaymer played the PGA Tour heavily early in the year but has shifted toward Europe since late spring, so I’ll reference his Euro Tour stats.

The two-time major champion is 29th in strokes gained on approaches. His iron play is still there, but he’s looking to keep making strides on the greens.

This is Kaymer’s first start in Sweden since 2008.

Given his name, Kaymer may not be a great value play depending the odds he has, but he’s proven he can jump up and play well out of nowhere.
