I could only ignore the Swedes for so long.

A Swede has won four of the last 10 Nordea Masters. Marcus Kinhult is talented enough to change that to five of the last 11.

The recently turned 22-year-old from Fiskebackskil has a pair of top-10s already in just 14 starts in 2018.

He’s made three of his last four cuts which includes a T5 at a Rolex Series event, the Open de France. He led by two through 54 holes before closing in 76.

That was surely a tough moment, but those reps in contention are so crucial for young players. If he’s back in the mix this week and can handle the home crowds in stride, he’ll have a better idea of what it takes to seal the deal.

Kinhult’s putter has made him a lot of money. He’s 12th in strokes gained putting.

Kinhult has good memories of the Nordea Masters. He tied for 21st as a 17-year-old in 2014 and tied 33rd in 2015 where he led after 36 holes.
