The Northern Trust: Power rankings for the FedEx Cup Playoff opener
Jon Rahm was kind of a forgotten man at the PGA Championship, but his T4 there is worth remembering.
It was his second top five in a major in 2018 (solo fourth at the Masters) and third top five in his last five starts.
The young Spaniard has missed just two cuts all year and finished higher than T63 in 13 of 16 starts in 2018.
Rahm won the CareerBuilder Challenge and the Open de Espana on the European Tour.
This is his first start at Ridgewood.
Rahm is eighth in strokes gained tee to green and has found about as many greens as any this year (sixth in GIR).
He’s fourth in par-4 scoring average and can go low when he gets it going (second in par breakers).
