D+D Real Czech Masters: Power ranking the top 10 at Albatross
Saying Andrew “Beef” Johnston is rounding into form sounds a bit redundant, but it’s true. He’s played a stop-and-start schedule this year due to injury and recently sat out seven weeks in a row with a shoulder injury.
The Arby’s spokesman looked solid in his return to action last week at the Nordea Masters. Johnston finished T10 and improved each round (70-68-68-66).
Johnston isn’t a birdie machine, but him ranking 12th in fewest bogeys made on the European Tour makes me like his chances to at least make the weekend.
Johnston is eighth in strokes gained tee to green and is going to be able to hit a ton of greens in regulation. Even just an average to slightly above average putting week could be enough to land Beef in the winner’s circle.
