Paul Casey’s only played TPC Boston four times but it’s likely already one of his favorites.

The Englishman has contended at the Dell Technologies Championship each of the past two years, finishing solo second in 2016 and was T4 last year. He also has a T25 from 2010.

Casey held a three-shot lead after 54 holes in 2016.

"“It’s a cool track. I think you’ve got to move the ball around a little bit,” Casey said in 2017. “There’s some trees that get in the way. The greens are tiny little areas to hit. My iron play is always strong, one of the better guys on Tour when it comes to proximity to the hole.”"

Speaking of proximity, Casey is 20th from the fairway and 12th from the rough. He ranks 11th in strokes gained tee to green and offers a good blend of length and control off the tee.

The short game has been maligned as the reason Casey hasn’t won more, but he’s closing on his third straight season ranking above average in strokes gained tee to green and around the green.

He’s been one of the most consistent players in the world 2018, particularly among those not named Dustin or Justin.

Casey’s missed just two cuts and has a win (Valspar) and a T2 (Travelers) highlighting six top-10s. Tack on five more top-25s and it’s easy to see why he’s likely to be at East Lake in a few weeks.
