Jordan Spieth’s developed a nice resume at TPC Boston in just five years’ time.

The Texan rallied from a 1-over 72 on Thursday to post 14-under in the final 54 holes to take solo second. He also finished T4 as a 20-year-old in 2013 thanks to a Sunday 62 (one off the record held by Vijay Singh and Mike Weir).

“I feel comfortable off the tees with the lines,” Spieth said in 2014. “And I like the layout a lot.”

The Texan is still seeking his first win of the season. Despite a down year, he’s still racked up five top-10s and enters making four cuts in a row.

Spieth is 28th on Tour in strokes gained approaching the green and is a positive in the other main categories save for putting. His stats on the greens have inched up a little, but not quite to where he’d like.

Nonetheless, Spieth is 12th in birdie average and is talented enough to grind out four rounds in the 60s without his best stuff.
