Dell Technologies Championship: Power Ranking the top 10 at TPC Boston
Nearly every course Jon Rahm played last year he was seeing for the first time. The Spaniard proved a fast learner and exemplified it at TPC Boston.
In his Dell Technologies Championship debut, Rahmbo finished T4 and fired three rounds in the 60s.
He’s made a name as a sound ball striker, which should make his eyes light up this week.
"“You can tell it’s a ball-striker’s course because on every green, there’s little sections for the pin to be at, right,” Rahm said in 2017. “It can be a big green, but there’s little sections for the pin to be at, right. It can be a big green, but there’s little sections you can hit it at. So being precise off the fairway, it’s going to give you some close birdie putts, which luckily for me has been happening.”"
This season on Tour, Rahm is 13th on tour in strokes gained tee to green, 10th in greens in regulation and third in birdie average.
Rahm isn’t having a great year on the greens but he gained nine strokes on the field with his putter at this event last year. Another week like that and there’s a good chance he’s hoisting the trophy Sunday.
