Dell Technologies Championship: Power Ranking the top 10 at TPC Boston
Patrick Reed completed the turkey for top-10s last year, recording his third straight high finish at the Dell Technologies Championship. The Masters champ has gone T4, T5 and T6 in the last few years.
That’s a regression you can probably live with.
He’s 5-for-5 overall in playing the weekend at TPC Boston and has posted par or better each of his last 11 rounds here.
Along with his Masters win, Reed entertained us by nearly doubling up at the U.S. Open where he finished solo fourth. He’s up to seven top-10s in 21 starts and has made four of his last five cuts.
Reed is fourth in strokes gained around the green and is 38th in par breakers. He’s up to 11 eagles on the season and could likely add to that this weekend.
A bit of caution is that this is Reed’s sixth event in seven weeks. By the same token, most guys have played a lot in the last month and Reed is a workhorse who’s actually taken it light this year compared to past years.
