Dell Technologies Championship: Power Ranking the top 10 at TPC Boston
We’ve come a long way in a short time to where a T40 is a step back for Tiger.
Fused back and all, Woods has had a remarkable year to date but couldn’t get the putter rolling last week.
I’m not using his performance at the Northern Trust as too much of a deterrent. He’s heading back to more familiar greens at TPC Boston and is playing for the second week in a row which has been a harbinger of success in 2018.
When playing for the second week in a row this year, Woods has finished 12, T5, T11, 2. He doesn’t need to be grinding out 25 tournaments a year, but avoiding rust seems like a good plan.
Woods has made a lot of money at this event. He won here in 2006 and has five top-10s (two runner-ups) and two T11s. He’s never missed the cut in nine starts. This his first Dell Technologies Championship appearance since 2013.
"“I wanted to get back here, this is one of my favorite tournaments,” Woods said in 2013. “And a golf course I like. I’ve played well here over the years… The greens are perfect, the fairways are in great shape.”"
