It’s been a light year for Westy having played in just 12 events. He took five weeks off prior to last week’s Czech Masters where he finished T61.

It was his fourth made cut in a row and the ninth in his last 10 outings, the other being a WD.

In that time, which spans all the way back to February, Westwood has a T5 at the Rolex Series’ Italian Open and three more top-30s. One was a T19 at another Rolex event, the Irish Open. He also made the weekend at the Open Championship, so there’s still some form left in the 45-year-old Englishman.

Westwood is 30th on the European Tour in stroke average (70.17) and is making the sixth fewest bogeys per round (2.31). He’s also eighth in strokes gained tee to green, which is no huge surprise for the historically strong ball-striker.

His short game’s been serviceable as well at 70th in strokes gained around the green. Per usual, if he rolls in putts he could be in line to win.

He’s making his Made in Denmark debut this week.
