Made in Denmark: Power Ranking the top 10 at Silkeborg Ry
Danny Willett is looking like the photo above a lot more often. He’s got reasons to smile after poor form and injuries riddled his end of 2016 and throughout 2017.
Willett is working his way back with five top-25s in his previous eight starts. The 2016 Masters champion has two top-10s in that span at a pair of Rolex Series events: T8 at the Italian Open and T6 at the Irish Open.
In his most recent start, the 30-year-old Englishman finished T19 at the Czech Masters where he was under par all four rounds.
Willett is finding ways to grind out good results despite sitting at 133rd in stroke average. When things go poorly, they can go poorly for Willett, but he’s gaining confidence by the week.
The former European Tour Order of Merit winner isn’t back to world class form, but a win here this week seems more than logical.
