Made in Denmark: Power Ranking the top 10 at Silkeborg Ry
How many in the field can say they’re going for their third European Tour victory this year? One.
Matt Wallace was a winner at the Hero Indian Open and the BMW International Open, this coming after winning the co-sanctioned European Tour/Challenge Tour Open de Portugal as a rookie in 2017.
Wallace is beginning to regain his fine form from earlier in the year with a T19 at the PGA Championship and a T36 last week at the Czech Masters following four straight cuts.
Granted, his win at the BMW did come right before that drought. He also has a T3 at the China Open and a T20 at the BMW PGA Championship.
The Englishman is 48th in strokes gained off the tee, 60th in scrambling and is overall a solid player.
He’s too far flung to make the European Ryder Cup team this year, but the 28-year-old will have more chances down the road.
