Rory McIlroy appeared to find something in the dirt last week at the Dell Technologies Championship. After sitting out the Northern Trust to get his mind right, the Northern Irishman finished T12 and entered Monday in contention.

At TPC Boston, McIlroy gained over two strokes on the field with his putter, which has been one of the weaker clubs in his bag this season.

It was his fifth cut in a row worldwide with four of the five inside the top 30.

McIlroy is seventh in strokes gained around the green and 12th in SG tee to green this season.

He’s played well in FedEx Cup Playoffs events historically and I expect that trend to continue in his Aronimink debut.
