Not only is Justin Rose among the handful of players who have seen Aronimink in competition, he won there as well. Rose won the 2010 AT&T National and mounted a solid title defense with a T15 in 2011.

In eight rounds, Rose is 14-under at Aronimink with five rounds in the 60s.

It’s a thinking man’s course in some ways, which definitely suits a tactician like Rose.

"“I think you’ve got to be very patient and got to have great strategy,” Rose said in 2011. “It’s a golf course where it’s not going to necessarily be 20-under par. I like that.”"

The Englishman is 33rd or better in the main strokes gained categories. He’s ninth tee to green and 14th in both putting and around the green.

Rose not only carries good course history but also good recent form. Though Bryson DeChambeau ran away last week with the Dell Technologies Championship title, Rose fought to shoot a Monday 68 and grab solo second.

That was his sixth top-10 in his last eight starts and his third win or runner-up finish in that span.
