Omega European Masters: Power ranking the top 10 at Crans-sur-Sierre
Kiradech Aphibarnrat is an interesting man. I wonder how he spent his three weeks off after the PGA Championship?
If he spent at least some of the time with a club in hands, I like him to be revitalized for the last stretch of the season.
The Thai came out firing in 2018, winning the Super 6 Perth and an Asian Tour event. He also posted high finishes at big events like the WGC-Match Play (T5), BMW PGA Championship (T5), the Memorial (T13) and U.S. Open (15). It all culminated in a career-high 29th spot in the world rankings.
Now, he’s looking to regain his touch after missing out on the top 30 in each of his last six starts. Aphibarnrat’s already up to 22 starts this year, so perhaps he was reaching the end of the rope.
He played well at the Omega European Masters last year where he tied for 16th with four rounds in the 60s. He’s made the cut two of three times at Crans-sur-Sierre.
The talented ball striker is 37th in strokes gained tee to green and also has touch (22nd in scrambling). He was fifth in GIR last year at Crans.
