TOUR Championship: Power ranking all 30 players at East Lake
Rickie Fowler is known for his consistency, but East Lake hasn’t been his favorite Tour stop. In four starts he has just one top-10, a solo eighth in 2014.
After forgoing the first two playoff events, Fowler was on the fringe of contention en route to a T8 last week at Aronimink. That only vaulted him to 23rd in points, so his chances of winning the FedEx Cup are awfully slim. Not that he’s one to mail it in, but Fowler has little to play for this week other than peaking for the Ryder Cup.
Unfortunately, that will likely relegate the 2017-18 campaign to the “what might have been” section of Fowler’s personal record books.
While he’s yet to win this season, Fowler’s not far off. He’s finished in the top 30 in the last nine events. Lucky for him, that streak is guaranteed to extend to 10.
