Woodland has been steady in the playoffs with results of T48-T24-T12. By that math, he’s due to tie for sixth this week, huh? Not so fast.

One of the Tour’s top athletes is having a nice season that includes a win at the Waste Management and two more top-10s. He’s also finished top 50 in eight of the last 10 events.

Still, there are a ton of great players to contend with this week and his resume at the Tour Championship isn’t spectacular. In three trips he’s finished T22-T9-T10.

Woodland ranks third in strokes gained off the tee and has been solid from tee to green. His short game and putting have held him back, making him a poor man’s Dustin Johnson or Brooks Koepka in some ways.
