Rickie Fowler BMW Championship FedEx Cup Ryder Cup

Rickie Fowler is heading to his 4th U.S. Ryder Cup appearance, only missing the 2012 event. He will be looking to get off to a better start this year, with only two wins in 11 matches. Five of them have been draws, meaning he has halved in nearly half his matches.

He will be coming into the Ryder Cup playing some great golf. Fowler has finished in the top 20 in seven of his last eight events. He has only cracked the top ten in two of them, playing not great albeit very consistently.

Watch for Fowler to be asked to take some added leadership this time around. He is tied for having the third most experience on the U.S. side, and will be leaned upon to perform a little better than in the past.

With only two wins, Fowler is going to need to produce more to help the U.S. squad win this time around. A slow start could see him relegated to only playing in three matches. With how well Fowler finished the year, look for him to see three or four this year, with a likelihood of matching his career win total.
