CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges: Power ranking the top 10 at Jeju Island
Ian Poulter didn’t have the hottest form coming into the Ryder Cup. Of course, that didn’t mean anything at all. The Englishman won two points four Europe including a win in singles.
With three weeks off since Le Golf National, Poulter is fresh for the new season. He won in 2018 at the Houston Open and had six top-10s in a PGA Tour-heavy schedule.
Poulter finished T15 in the inaugural CJ Cup. Unlike much of the field, he avoided the big number all four days to post rounds of 71-71-73-70.
He is a solid wind player and his accuracy doesn’t suffer much out of the rough versus the fairway.
I don’t see him quite winning this week, but a high finish seems logical.
