CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges: Power ranking the top 10 at Jeju Island
Jason Day is back in action after a well-deserved three-week layoff. The Aussie had a resurgent 2017-18 season that netted two wins in early 2018, a runner-up finish and three top-20s in majors. He was a top-25 machine with 17 in his 19 starts and just two missed cuts.
He cooled a bit toward the end of the year with just one top-10 in his last eight starts, but he should be ready to go after his longest time off since June. Part of his struggles had to do with his waywardness off the tee, but that shouldn’t be as big of an issue this week.
Day should be able to terrorize the four par-5s (17th in par-5 scoring) and was one of the Tour’s best putters (first) and short game players (fifth in shots gained around the green).
Day finished T11 at the 2017 CJ Cup (68-74-71-71).
