Andalucia Valderrama Masters: Power rankings at Real Club
Andrew Johnston burst onto the scene in 2016 when he hung on to win the 2016 Open de Espana at Valderrama. “Beef” hung on to win at 1-over-par in what was a test of mettle as much as it was a test of golf.
In his return to Valderrama, Johnston followed with a respectable T23 at the Andalucia Masters.
He has two top-10s in just 17 starts in 2018 including a solo second at the Indian Open. Last week netted a T48 at the British Masters and was his third made cut in four starts.
Johnston is 52nd in Europe in scrambling and 55th in greens in regulation. It’ll likely come down to putting if he’s to pick up his second career win.
A good week is in order to enter the coveted top 70 in the Race to Dubai standings.
