Francesco Molinari is only coming in at 10th? Are you kidding?

No, I’m not, because I’m a little dubious of Molinari’s health. You wouldn’t have known it by his stunning 5-0 Ryder Cup record, but the Italian admitted to playing with a balky back at Le Golf National.

He finished T56 at the British Masters in his latest appearance a couple weeks ago.

At the end of a long, successful year I wonder if he’s got gas in the tank, but he’s just too good to omit entirely.

Aiding his argument is his track record at the WGC-HSBC Champions. He fired 19-under to win in 2010, has four top-10s and has never finished lower than T46 at Seshan.

At seventh in strokes gained off the tee and 12th in SG approaches last season on Tour, Molinari is equipped to avoid Sheshan’s pitfalls.
