We’re heavy with locals in this week’s power rankings. Ryan Moore is a Las Vegas resident who also had an elite amateur career at UNLV.

He won the 2012 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and has played this event every year since 2008 save for 2010.

Moore tied the course record with his opening-round 61 in 2012 and followed with 68-65-66 to edge Brendon de Jonge by one.Moore’s 7-for-9 in cuts made in Vegas with five top-25s.

He was nearly a winner early in the 2018-19 PGA Tour slate as he got into a three-man playoff at the Safeway Open. Moore played the first two legs of the Asian swing, but was off last week to get his body back on U.S. time.

Moore was top 30 in all major strokes gained categories last season except for putting. I think his weakness could be a strength, or at least a non-factor, on greens he should know inside and out.
