This is a home game for Las Vegas resident Rickie Fowler, but also his first Shriners Hospitals for Children Open start since 2015. There’s reason for him to come back more often.

In three starts at TPC Summerlin since 2009, Fowler’s gone T7-T22-T25 at this event.

He fired four rounds in the 60s to nearly win in one of his first career PGA Tour starts as a 20-year-old. Out of 12 rounds total, only one finished over par (1-over 72) and nine were in the 60s.

Fowler finished 52nd or better in all strokes gained categories in the final 2017-18 Tour statistics. Despite a winless season, he finished eighth in stroke average with six top-10s against three missed cuts in 2018.

This will be his first competitive action since the Ryder Cup and first individual event since a T7 at the Tour Championship. He’s finished in the top 30 in his last 10 events and missed just one cut since early March.
