Mayakoba Golf Classic: Top 10 power rankings at El Camaleon
Si-Woo Kim is making his third visit to El Camaleon this week. It’s a course he seems to enjoy as he posted T17 in 2015 and solo third last year.
Kim fired rounds 68-64-72-70 in 2015, and shot 67-68-69-65 last year. These combined to put him 25-under between both starts.
Of late, the young South Korean finished T10 at the CIMB Classic, T23 at the CJ Cup and T15 at the Shriners last week.
This will be his fourth event in five weeks, but he took four weeks off leading up to this busy stretch.
After finishing 159th on Tour last season in strokes gained putting, Kim now leads that stat in the very early going. He will need to improve off the tee, as he is -.943 strokes gained there so far early in the season.
He was also 21st in strokes gained around the green.
