Nedbank Golf Challenge: Top 10 power rankings at Gary Player CC
After a slow start to 2018, Sergio appears to have his groove back. A T7 at the Portugal Masters was just what the doctor ordered to propel him into the Ryder Cup where he finished 3-1.
His next individual start came at the Andalucia Valderrama Masters where he cruised for his third straight win in his host tournament.
Garcia took the next two weeks off leading into the Nedbank Golf Challenge so he should be well rested.
This will be his first jaunt to Gary Player CC since 2013. He nearly had a title to defend in 2014 when he finished T2 the year prior. Garcia fired three rounds in the 60s to finish two back in 2013.
In 2018 on the European Tour, Garcia is 13th in birdie average, fifth in strokes gained off the tee and has been good by his standards on the greens where he ranks above average in SG putting and is seventh in putts per GIR.
