Ryan Moore Fantasy Golf DraftKings Mayakoba Golf Classic
LAS VEGAS, NV – NOVEMBER 02: Ryan Moore hits a shot on the 15th hole during the second round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin on November 2, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images) /

Ryan Moore didn’t find himself in my fantasy lineups nearly as much as I would have liked last season. I’m a believer in the veteran’s abilities, but he’s becoming a stronger “horse for the course” instead of a potential starter in the majority of weeks.

Of course, when he’s in form and the setup is favorable, I’m ready to pull the trigger on him in my lineups, and so should you be. His results so far in the new season have been a bit of a mixed bag, but It was just four short weeks ago when he opened the season with a runner-up finish at the Safeway Open.

The Asian Swing wasn’t particularly kind to him with finishes in the 60s at CIMB and the CJ CUP, but he showed some flashes again last week at TPC Summerlin.

Here’s where the “horse for the course” comes in. So far in 2018-19, Moore ranks 20th in driving accuracy, 52nd in greens in regulation (still at 74.31 percent) and 23rd in strokes gained putting. His scrambling has left something to be desired to far, but he should be able to avoid the toughest parts of Camaleon, and in turn, miss the big numbers.
