Sam Ryder had a nice rookie season and could be destined for more as a sophomore.

After winning on the Web.com Tour in 2017 to earn his card, Ryder missed his first four PGA Tour cuts. Since then, he’s recorded five top-10s including two top-fives to start 2018-19.

Ryder was just one shot back to finish T4 at the Safeway Open and two back for a solo third at the Shriners Open where he closed in 62.

The 28-year-old has made eight cuts in a row dating back to July after a solo 54th last week at the Mayakoba.

Early on this season, he’s eighth in strokes gained off the tee, 24th in SG putting and seventh in SG tee to green. He was 34th in approach last season aided by hitting 72.08 percent of greens (second best on Tour).
