DP World Tour Championship: Power Ranking the top ten in Dubai
Patrick Reed is seeking his third straight top-10, but perhaps not his third straight T10. The American’s played well at Jumeirah to finish in a tie for 10th both in 2015 and 2017.
He was just four off the pace last year and has five rounds in the 60s at the Earth course.
Reed tried to quiet the haters in his first start after the Ryder Cup fiasco. He was the 18-hole leader at the WGC-HSBC Champions before fading to a T7.
That’s still a solid result against a high-quality field and he’s since taken a couple weeks off to gear up for this week.
Reed can’t win the Race to Dubai, but he could vault to second with a strong showing and has room to rise or fall in the top-10 bonus pool.
He finished second on the PGA Tour last season in strokes gained around the green. He was a positive in all strokes gained categories and has found different ways to get it done over the course of his six-win career.
