DP World Tour Championship: Power Ranking the top ten in Dubai
When you win the Open Championship for your first major and then become a Ryder Cup legend in Europe, the Race to Dubai crown becomes icing on the cake.
How sweet it is for Molinari, who can clinch with a solo second or win and is the likely RtD champ with any sort of high finish or low finish by Tommy Fleetwood.
Molinari doesn’t fit the bomber’s style most accustomed to success at the DP World Tour Championship, but he’s long enough to have no problems here if he’s on his game.
The Italian owns four top-sixes at this event and has never finished below T34 playing every year since the tournament began in 2009.
Molinari’s had some middling results in a couple post-Ryder Cup events, but I like him to close 2018 strong at a course he knows as well as anyone in the field. He skipped the first two Final Series events, so he’ll be fresh compared to players going on their third or more straight week of competition.
