Xander Schauffele is the only DP World Tour Championship debutant in this week’s top 10, but it would have been a crime to exclude him. He’s coming off a win at the WGC-HSBC Champions a couple weeks ago in China.

That makes three worldwide wins in his first two years as a PGA Tour member (and now affiliate European Tour member).

Schauffele overtook Finau for the win and sealed his third top-10 in his last five worldwide starts.

He did not tee it up in the first two Final Series events, so he comes in well rested compared to the field.

Four of his top-10 world ranking-earning events in his career have come outside of the U.S., illustrating the American’s adaptability.

His overall stats from the 2017-18 PGA Tour season don’t show particular dominance in any one category, but rather someone who is pretty good to great at most everything.

Schauffele ranked 28th in driving distance and is good with his long irons and woods to go after this week’s four par-5s.
