Abraham Ancer comes in hot off of a win at last week’s Australian Open. The victory seemed due as he previously recorded seven top-10s in 2018 including four top-fives.

Entering this week he’s posted T21 or better four of the last five weeks.

Ancer ranks third in strokes gained putting early on in 2018-19 on the PGA Tour, which would be a huge upgrade from 127th last season. Also in 2017-18, Ancer ranked 41st in SG off the tee.

Roberto Diaz has had a rough go of it in 2018 while stuck in limbo between the Web.com Tour and PGA Tour. His lone top-10 was in September at the Web’s Boise Open.

The two played together earlier this year at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans where they missed the cut. They posted a solid 66 in four ball but fell to 76 in alternate shot. Perhaps some more time together can rectify that for the two friends ages 27 (Ancer) and 31 (Diaz).
