5. Shadow Creek was an amazing venue

One of the things that was awesome about the match is where it took place. Shadow Creek is such a breathtaking golf course. It’s uniqueness is almost unmatched because every hole is like a magnificent adventure.

It is such an interesting venue because it is in the middle of nowhere in the Las Vegas desert. They pretty much built a golf course from scratch and they were able to shape it perfectly. It sticks out like a sore thumb in the desert because it is such a lush green course, that also had all the fall colors on display that added to the spectacle of this broadcast. The 17th hole is perhaps the most beautiful one on the golf course, with the waterfall that is right beside the green. Coincidentally Tiger hit the shot of the day on that hole with that waterfall right behind him.

Seeing this match made any golf fan watching want to play Shadow Creek because it seemed like a once in a lifetime track to play and it would be a no doubt unforgettable experience. One of the funnier twitter comments about the match came from PGAtour.com’s editor. He said he would have rather paid $20 to ride around on a golf cart around Shadow Creek rather than watching the match broadcast because of how special the views from every hole on this golf course seemed to be.
