4. Got to see an ultra unique golf broadcast that could lead to future matches like this one

This one on one match between legends might have set the stage for some of the other great golfers in the game to hold a similar match play style pay per view event like this in the future. The $9 million grand prize is enough to make any player on tour want to participate in a match like this and it definitely was a different way to get a close look at fans favorite golfers.

One match that could be interesting for example might be Jordan Spieth vs. Patrick Reid. If they wanted two golfers that are in the prime of their respective careers that have had some drama together in the past. That match up would be an intriguing one because they are known trash talkers and might provide more interesting sound clips than friendly veterans like Tiger and Phil.

This could also be a first step in having players mic’d up for other future events as well. Could you imagine all of the crazy trash talk that would be captured if an event like the Ryder Cup had certain golfers that had microphones on them. It would be similar to what the NFL has done in year’s past that has given a nice behind the scenes look at the game.

It was also cool to see different personalities that are normally seen on other sports broadcasts. Charles Barkley who is normally seen commenting on the NBA for TNT and Adam Lefkoe who normally comments on football for Bleacher Report, mixing in with golf personalities like Pat Perez. The best part was probably seeing Samuel L. Jackson do the introductions for Tiger and Phil and even Tiger and Phil seemed to enjoy seeing him there and were in aw of his voice.
