Chris Paisley may be bummed to see the South African Open changed venues.

The Englishman reached 21-under last year at Glendower GC to win by three over home favorite Branden Grace. That was his first and only European Tour win to date, but recent form shows there may be more to come.

The 32-year-old has three top-25s in his last five starts worldwide. Paisley posted T9 in South Africa at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, went T24 against a good field at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and showed off in the U.S. with a T8 at the Web.com Tour Championship.

He’s coming off two weeks of rest following a T34 at the DP World Tour Championship.

Paisley also owns a pair of fifth-place finishes early in 2018 in the United Arab Emirates.

He did not play at the last Joburg Open, so this will be his debut at Randpark.

Paisley finished 13th on the Euro Tour in stroke average last season thanks to mistake-free golf. He was second in bogey avoidance as well as second in strokes gained putting.

It’s one thing to defend a tournament title, but Paisley can take it a step further this week by doing it at two different courses.
