Cabo del Sol Ocean Course

Perfectly located in the middle of the Cabo Corridor is the Nicklaus gem, Cabo del Sol. The Ocean course is a perfect mixture of desert and seaside golf with a three-hole finish that will have you taking more pictures than swings. Which is saying a lot for some golfers.

It’s a prototypical Jack Nicklaus design with generous, rolling fairways and strategically placed bunkering. Not only did Nicklaus design the course, he is also on the record as saying “The best piece of golf property I ever seen.”

Greens are large and multi-tiered giving the course many different looks depending on pin placement. You will have to use every club in the bag – a distinction all great courses share.

Hugging the Sea of Cortes, nearly half of the holes on the course sit along the rugged coastline, adding to the experience. Combining that with holes with desert and mountain views, and this becomes one of the most picturesque courses that you will ever find yourself at.

For those feeling frisky or wanting to show of their power, the course has been designed to tempt you into going for it. With opportunities on a couple of the four’s and five’s respectively, there are opportunities to be aggressive and drive the green, or go for it in two.

The Cabo del Sol property is embarking on a massive renovation that should make this grandfather of Cabo golf an elite destination once again.
