Golf Tips: Practice Drills to Improve your Putting Game
Around the world is great for building teamwork, or getting that edge on your partners confidence before your round. It’s a lot of fun to play, but it does take some space, and is only doable when a large section of the practice green is open.
You play against a partner, and start at whichever hole you choose. Map a course around the putting green, and go from hole to hole. All you are doing is playing against that person, and trying to get the lowest score possible. You know, like golf.
The competitiveness of the game will come out, and help to put a bit of pressure on your putting to make it seem more realistic. When you are on the practice green by yourself, it can be tough to feel the same weight and stress of a putt when there is nothing on the line, and it isn’t like it is going to affect your score.
Playing around the world helps to get those factors into your practice. You can play it with more than two people if you like, but make sure to go in groups of two, or else it gets messy quick.
This is going to work on most aspects of your putting game. Long putts? Check. Same with short putts. Confidence is going to increase as well if you can nail some of those shorter putts and take the win against your partner.
Hopefully you enjoyed this edition of golf tips. Everyone could be a little bit (or a lot) better at putting. There are plenty of drills out there, but these are some of my favorite, and they seem to lead to good results as well. Grab some tees, some extra balls, a buddy, and head out to the practice green. What better time to practice than the present.
