As most know, just about every president is a golfer. George W. Bush is one of the most involved of anyone to lead the United States, and he now has something else to add to his resume. His first career hole-in-one.

While playing a round at Trinity Forest Golf Club earlier this week, George W. Bush did what ever golfer dreams of. He got his first hole-in-one at the seasoned age of 72.

He was able to post it onto social media for all to see. He uploaded an image of himself and the three playing partners he was with onto his official Instagram page.

As you can see from the picture, the hole-in-one for our former president came on the 12th hole. Looking into the scorecard, you can see that it’s 164 yards from the whites. George is well known for his golfing acumen, so let’s give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn’t playing from the senior tees at 138 yards. Heck, knowing W. he could’ve been playing the blues at 205 yards, which would be incredibly impressive.

Trinity Forest Golf Club is one you may have heard of before, and will surely hear about in a couple of months. Their course just so happens to be hosting a PGA event this May for the second time. The AT&T Bryan Nelson will actually be there May 9-12, a week prior to the PGA Championship.

Our 43rd president isn’t the only president to be enamored by the game, as it has taken hold of the attention of many to hold the position. Although it’s been a while, a 2005 survey came through with George W. as the third president readers of Golf Digest would most like to golf with. He finished behind Bill Clinton and JFK.

A few presidents in the past have had their share of hole-in-ones. Regardless of how you think of him, President Trump actually made one back in 1993 at the former Bing Crosby Pro-Am, now called the AT&T Pro-Am. Playing with pro partner Paul Goydos, Trump aced the 180 yard par 12th.

A huge congratulations are in order to George W. Bush. Not all of us get lucky enough to make a hole-in-one. The combination of skill and luck is something that we search for our entire lives. Personally, i am still trying to find that luck for my first 1 on the card. Gladly, the former president doesn’t have to look for that first one any longer.
