Your Rooting Interest

After all is said and done, now you have a wide array of golfers to root for. Having a handful of people that you look for every week is always nice when it comes to golf. Especially since the same players don’t show up to every PGA Tour event.

Sure, it can be fun to root for the favorite. Following along for 72 holes, trying to see if your golfer can go wire-to-wire for the win is exhilarating, if maybe a little tiring.

Maybe you feel like checking in on that mid-tier golfer and seeing how they are doing. Can he make a run over the weekend? Seeing that they made the cut by a few strokes, and knowing that they have a legit chance to make a run always makes watching a round of golf better.

If you feel like taking a risk, that’s where the dark horse comes in. Being one of the few who actually know who the player is that is making everyone else scratch their heads will earn you praise from your golf friends, and help you make them think you know more than you might actually know. Looking knowledgeable never felt so good.

When it comes down to it, you now have a nice group. Your favorites in Tiger Woods (14), Brooks Koepka (3), and Francesco Molinari (7). Your mid-tier golfers in Kiradech Aphibarnrat (41), Keith Mitchell (58), and Eddie Pepperell (36). Then your dark horses in C.T. Pan (108), Zach Johnson (84), or Australian Aaron Baddeley (207), and the super dark horses in Taylor Gooch (155) and Roger Sloan (262). Enjoy.
