The WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play begins Thursday at Austin Country Club. This field is loaded from top to bottom, but which groups should you be watching? We’re breaking it all down for you here.

The WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play pits 64 of the world’s top golfers head-to-head down at the Austin Country Club. Similar to the World Cup, there is a ‘group stage’, where players are placed in groups of four and play each other once. Players receive one point for a win and half a point for a draw, with the top finisher advancing to the Round of 16.

In the case that two players are tied after the three matches, they play a sudden-death playoff to determine who advances. The sixteen groups were revealed Monday night and we were treated to some fantastic groupings with interesting matches and contrasting players.

The group stage matches will take place over three days, starting on Wednesday the 27th, and finishing up on Friday the 29th. Each player will be playing one match per day, and then the points will be tallied up at the end to determine who advances from each group.

I am going to break down some of the highlights from the groupings, starting with which players got the good and bad side of the draw.
