Masters: Most Interesting Players to Watch this Year
Tiger Woods
For so long, it looked like Tiger Woods was going to be a lock to be the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). By the time he was 32, he had 14 Majors. Now at 43, he still has 14 Majors. It’s going to be incredibly tough for him to catch Jack Nicklaus now, as he would need four more just to tie him.
Yet, here we are at Augusta. Tiger loves playing The Masters, and has won here four times. Our own Bill Felber wrote about who has played the best at Augusta, and Tiger came in quite high on the list.
For years, we have been asking “Can Tiger win another major?” As it stands now, Tiger looks well prepared to make a charge here at The Masters. He has been playing fairly well this year, he made a strong run at the WGC Dell Match Play, and he seems to be completely healthy.
Tiger tees off at 8:04 AM Pacific, with Jon Rahm and Haotong Li. I hope my boss doesn’t read this when it comes out, cause I don’t know if I am going to get anything done today once Tiger and his group tees off. Gone are the days where a look from Tiger makes his compatriots melt and fade. Playing alongside a mentally strong Haotong, and a fiery Spaniard, Tiger will need to make a strong start to start on his path to #15.
