This will be Kuchar’s 16th time teeing it up at the RBC Heritage. The highlight was a win in 2014 when he holed out from the bunker on the 72nd hole to fend off Luke Donald by one. Kuchar shot 66-73-70-64 to reach 11-under.

Kuch has five top-10s and nine top-25s at Harbour Town.

“This place is special,” Kuchar said in 2015. “The golf course is great. We have such a good time. We stay with some great friends.  It’s just a week that I really look forward to, my family really looks forward to.”

Along with great course history, Kuchar is playing some of the best golf of his career in 2019.

He won the Sony Open in January which was the first of now four top-10s and 10 top-30s.

The 40-year-old was on the edge of contention last week at Augusta where he finished T12 but couldn’t get it going on Sunday (71-69-68-72).

This will be Kuchar’s fourth week in a row teeing it up and fifth time in six weeks. He’s looking to keep the momentum rolling as he’s gone T26-2-T7-T12.

He’s 22nd on Tour in overall strokes gained. That’s largely aided by seventh in SG approach, which is huge this week especially if it’s as windy as expected.

Harbour Town’s postage stamp greens are tough to hit. Kuchar is as equipped as any to find them as his 75.76% GIR is best on Tour.
