RBC Heritage: Top 10 power rankings at Harbour Town
Bryson DeChambeau has already made some good cash in three starts at the RBC Heritage.
He finished T4 (70-69-72-67) in his 2016 debut and birdied four of his last five holes last year to climb to T3 (68-64-75-66) and finish one back. In 2018, he hit 63.89 percent GIR and 60.71 fairways and gained .725 strokes per round on the greens.
The T4 was his first top-10 on Tour.
“I love this place. And I’ll come back here for a long, long time. It’s pretty special to me and it always will be,” DeChambeau said in 2018.
The 25-year-old was tied for the lead last week at the Masters following an opening 66. Unfortunately, it got off the rails as he closed in 75-73-70 to finish T29.
DeChambeau’s made 10 worldwide cuts in a row going back to the summer. In 2019, he has a win at the European Tour’s Dubai Desert Classic as one of four top-10s along with a T20 at the Players,
The 25-year-old struggled last week on the greens but is 42nd overall in strokes gained. He’s positive strokes gained across the board including eighth off the tee.
DeChambeau is fifth in birdie average. Perhaps more importantly for a tough track like Harbour Town is his Tour-leading 34.94 bounce back percentage.
