In the Zurich Classic of New Orleans’ two-year history as a team event, Kevin Kisner provided one of the more memorable moments. With darkness closing in, he holed out from 94 feet for eagle on the par-5 18th to force a Monday playoff with Cameron Smith and Jonas Blixt. Smith/Blixt went on to win, but it was another solid showing for Kisner/Brown (70-64-67-60) which took 15th in 2018 (62-70-64-77) and was in the mix again until Sunday.

These two are a couple fun-loving guys from Aiken, South Carolina. There are a lot of random pairings this week, but this isn’t one of them.

"“We know each other’s games so well, and we’re comfortable with each other and we know we’re both trying hard,” Kisner said in 2017. “Nobody gets upset at anybody. We know we’re doing the best we can.”"

Kisner got on a roll to win the WGC-Match Play last month, taking out Matt Kuchar and Francesco Molinari among others.

The world No. 25 finished top-30 in eight of his last nine events and has made 10 cuts in a row. Kisner finished T21 at the Masters.

Brown won the 2013 Puerto Rico Open and has maintained his card each year since.

The 35-year-old is 50th in strokes gained off the tee and has a good short game when his game is on.

Brown has two top-10s this season with a T9 at Torrey Pines and T7 at the Texas Open three weeks ago. He’s up to four top-20s overall which balance six missed cuts in 2019.
