The tee times for the first two rounds of the PGA Championship have been released. Here’s when all the biggest stars and must-see pairings will be teeing off at Bethpage Black.
Get your DVRs set. The Next Big Major is about to happen. Tee times for all players have been released, including the biggest names in the field at the 101st PGA Championship.
If you are on site or watching on line, remember that half the field starts on the first tee the first day and then that same group starts on the 10th tee on Friday.
If you are at Bethpage Black, the 10th tee is not anyplace near the first tee. It is at the far end of the course, because the course goes out and doesn’t come back to the clubhouse until the 18th hole. The first hole and the 18th hole are parallel, with the 18th green near the first tee.

In one of the biggest matchups, Tiger Woods is playing with Brooks Koepka and Francesco Molinari on Thursday and Friday. They play at 8:24 AM on Thursday and 1:49 PM on Friday. They start on the 10th tee on Thursday.
Phil Mickelson tees off with Rory McIlroy and Jason Day, all three past PGA champs, at 1:38 PM on Thursday and 8:13 AM on Friday. This grouping begins on the first tee on Thursday.
Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth and Jon Rahm play together starting at 1:16 PM Thursday and 7:51 AM Friday. They start on No. 1 on Thursday and No. 10 on Friday.
Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson and Justin Rose tee off at 8:02 AM Thursday and 1:27 PM Friday. They begin on the 10th tee on Thursday. Friday they start at No. 1.
Justin Thomas, Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott start at 7:40 AM on Thursday and 1:05 PM on Friday. The first round for them begins on the 10th tee.
Xander Schauffele, who has been a surprise threat in many tournaments in the last 18 months, plays with Hideki Matsuyama and Alex Noren. They start on the 10th tee at 8:31 Thursday and begin their day at 1:38 PM on the 1st tee on Friday.
The ideal times, the most favorable for any tournament, are usually late/early, only because golfers know early in the day on Friday whether or not they make the weekend. If they do, they get more rest than the early/late groups. However, that doesn’t take into account any weather that may unexpectedly travel into the area.
Temperatures are predicted to be in the mid-60s with a 20 percent chance of rain Thursday through Sunday. Tournament days are forecast to be partly cloudy. That’s a big improvement over the last two major championships at the course which were heavily impacted by rain.
