Rickie Fowler has quietly had a very productive 2019. The 30-year-old won the Phoenix Open back in February and comes to New York this week off of a T9 at the Masters and a T4 at Quail Hollow.

Fowler also finished T2 at the Honda Classic and owns 17 consecutive cuts made worldwide. In the majors, he’s got 10 top-10s in 37 tries. He’s made 11 straight major cuts and only twice finished outside the top 30.

His best PGA Championship finish was T3 in 2014 at Valhalla.

At Bethpage, Rickie MC’d as a 20-year-old at the 2009 U.S. Open (78-68), finished T24 at the 2012 Barclays (67-70-75-71) and T7 at the 2016 Barclays (67-69-68-74). He wasn’t terribly accurate off the tee here in 2016 but gained over a stroke per round on the greens and still managed to hit two of every three greens.

Putting has been his strength statistically this season as he ranks seventh on Tour in strokes gained. He’s 12th overall in strokes gained and is in the positive in all categories.

He’s one of the more well rounded players in the field and even on one of the world’s toughest courses should still be able to make birdies (13th, 4.48 per round).

He’s 23rd and 26th from the fairway and rough, respectively, from 175-200 yards.
