The 2019 PGA Championship has been dominated by Brooks Koepka through two rounds. If he comes back to earth, these five players could make things interesting.

To say the PGA Championship is lacking a bit in the drama department in 2019 might be a bit of an understatement. Brooks Koepka is putting on a show for the ages, and he doesn’t even seem the slightest bit fazed by his own performance.

The defending PGA Champion (and two-time defending U.S. Open champion) holds a seven-shot lead on the rest of the field at the halfway mark. He broke the Bethpage Black course record when he shot 63 in Thursday’s opening round, and his aggregate mark of 12-under is already two shots better than Nick Watney’s winning mark of 10-under in the 2012 edition of The Barclays.

Of course, this tournament isn’t over just yet. Sure, it seems almost impossible that Koepka could come back to the field in any type of real setback, and even if he did, the next closest contenders still need to go low on the weekend at one of the toughest courses in the United States.

So that begs the question: if not Koepka, who? The leaderboard is a bit more crowded than you might think behind him, with 17 players at -2 or better through the first two rounds. All it could take is one bad day from the leader to make this thing a whole lot more interesting.

Let’s take a look at five of the top contenders at this PGA Championship who you can’t count out entirely just yet.
